The Story (STORY) blockchain-based intellectual property (IP) assetization project Aria Protocol said on the 3rd that it successfully concluded its first domestic meetup, 'Meet the Future of IP Assetization.'

'Meet the Future of IP Assetization' was held on the 1st at Merkle in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Approximately 600 creators, investors, and blockchain industry stakeholders attended the event.

At the event, Aria's vision for an ecosystem based on real-world assets (RWA) was shared. First, Han Won-seok, Aria Protocol investment lead, who gave the keynote, said, "The global IP market, valued at about $60 trillion (80 quadrillion won), still remains a closed structure," and added, "Through blockchain-based real-world assetization, we aim to provide a transparent value chain and participation opportunities to both creators and investors."

In the subsequent panel discussion, Jang Chae-seon, Head of Story Korea; Han Won-seok, the lead; and Doko, CEO of PIG Entertainment, participated to discuss the potential for a new IP ecosystem combining K-pop and blockchain. Jang said, "Artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain have the potential to expand the IP industry's value chain more than tenfold," and added, "Story and Aria are building infrastructure for global creators and investors to collaborate fairly."

This year, Aria raised $11 million (15.7 billion won) through the Aria Premiere Launch (APL) and secured partial copyrights to 48 songs by global artists such as BTS, BLACKPINK, and Justin Bieber. APL token holders receive a portion of the revenues generated by those IPs.

Meanwhile, Aria plans to release a native token called 'ARIAIP' in the future. ARIAIP will be used for governance participation, revenue distribution, and staking rewards.
