Wemade publishes 'StableNet' source code… blockchain for Korean-won stablecoin

Wemade has released the source code of 'StableNet', a blockchain dedicated to Korean-won stablecoins.

Wemade said on the 10th that it has made the testnet source code of StableNet public. StableNet is a layer-1 blockchain for Korean-won stablecoins that Wemade unveiled at the 'Project Stable One' event last September.

StableNet provides various functions necessary for issuing and operating Korean-won stablecoins. Wemade plans to equip the StableNet infrastructure with regulatory and security features such as identity verification (KYC), anti-money laundering (AML), and suspicious transaction detection (FDS).

Wemade says that StableNet will enable companies to adopt stablecoin-related technologies more easily and efficiently. A Wemade official said, "The release of the StableNet source code reflects Wemade's commitment to disseminating the technology," and added, "Through global corporate and technology partnerships, we plan to create a new paradigm in the stablecoin market called 'K-financial globalization.'"
