U.S. Coinbase to Enter Prediction Markets…"Collaboration with Kalshi"

It has been claimed that U.S. cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has begun developing a new prediction market platform.

Tech researcher Jaen Wong said on the 19th (local time) via X that "Coinbase is developing a prediction market platform." Wong also released a screenshot of Coinbase's new prediction market platform in the post. Cointelegraph reported that "Coinbase announced plans to develop a prediction market platform in July."

Industry sources say Coinbase is developing the platform in collaboration with Kalshi, the global No. 2 prediction market platform. Coinbase recently entered into a partnership with Kalshi.

Coinbase is not the only one moving to capture the prediction market. A representative example is Crypto.com, the cryptocurrency exchange that recently launched its own prediction market platform. Cointelegraph said, "Prediction markets have emerged as one of the hottest cryptocurrency sectors this year," and "cryptocurrency exchange Gemini also plans to launch a prediction market platform as part of its 'super app' development plan."
