Coinbase is introducing its own decentralized exchange (DEX) integration service 'DeFi Mullet' in Brazil.
On the 19th (local time), according to crypto-focused media Cointelegraph, DeFi Mullet is built on Coinbase's Ethereum layer-2 network 'Base', and Brazilian users can trade more than 10,000 tokens on major DEXs such as Aerodrome and Uniswap without leaving the Coinbase app.
Coinbase explained that 'if users utilize a self-custody wallet, they can trade without network fees, and users can maintain full control over their assets.' However, the official launch schedule in Brazil has not been disclosed.
Meanwhile, DeFi Mullet is part of Coinbase's 'everything app' strategy. This includes the expansion of stablecoins such as USDC, tokenized stocks, prediction markets, early-stage token sales, and various on-chain services.
