World·Story ecosystem developers gathered in one place…'K-Builders Meetup' held in Seoul
Summary
- Park Sang-wook, head of World Korea, said the Korean blockchain market is entering a mature stage through integration into the system and regulatory adjustments, and that the center of ecosystem expansion will move to developers and builders.
- World operates a usage-based reward system and the 'World Dev Rewards' program, and said the fourth-quarter reward scale was expanded from US$25,000 to US$100,000 per week.
- AI-based game platform verse8 has surpassed 3.5 million monthly active users (MAU) globally and said it plans to expand game elements through collaboration with Story-based IP.

The event was attended by industry experts, blockchain developers, early-stage entrepreneurs, university project leads, and game studio developers, who shared the latest technology trends and development experiences. The event was co-hosted by blockchain intellectual property (IP) infrastructure project Story (STORY), biometric-based identity authentication project World, blockchain infrastructure firm DSRV, and venture studio ShardLab, and was sponsored by wallet service provider D'CENT.
First to take the podium, Park Sang-wook, head of World Korea, said, "The Korean blockchain market is entering a mature stage through integration into the system and regulatory adjustments," adding, "Going forward, the center of ecosystem expansion will shift to developers and builders." He emphasized, "Collaboration with global projects, provision of development tools focused on practical use, and establishment of developer incentive structures have become important."
The World mini app ecosystem was also introduced. Decentralized finance (DeFi) service Morpho has secured about 2.2 million users, and deposits exceeded US$100 million. Poseidon, incubated by Story, is a World mini app that labels human voice data, and was used by more than 140,000 people within a month of its launch.
World also operates the developer reward program 'World Dev Rewards', and the fourth-quarter reward scale was expanded from US$25,000 to US$100,000 per week. Park said, "It is characterized by a clear reward system based on actual usage," adding, "This program is designed to allow developers to quickly experiment with ideas and iteratively improve service completeness."
In a subsequent presentation, Tae Hak-yong, business development manager at AI-based game creation platform verse8, introduced the platform strategy.
Tae said, "verse8 provides an environment where AI supports game creation and distribution if a user only presents an idea," and added, "Monthly active users (MAU) have surpassed 3.5 million in the US, India, Vietnam, and other countries." He further said, "We are preparing a reward policy aiming to allocate up to 90% to creators," and added, "We recently formed a collaboration with web3 IP infrastructure Story to expand Story-based characters and worldviews into verse8 game elements."
Kim Ho-jin, CEO of ShardLab, said, "We are conducting early venture building centered on the Southeast Asian market," adding, "We plan to expand exchanges with the local builder ecosystem through the 'Southeast Asia Blockchain Week (SEABW)' to be held in Bangkok in the first half of next year." Kim Hyeong-gi, an engineer at DSRV, said, "We installed and tested blockchain infrastructure in Madagascar earlier this year," stressing, "There were environmental constraints such as frequent power outages and network instability. There is a great need for technical infrastructure to improve financial access in Africa and third countries."
