Robert Kiyosaki, the bestselling author of "Rich Dad Poor Dad," who repeatedly emphasized the value of Bitcoin and said he had "no plans to sell," recently sold part of his holdings during a Bitcoin correction phase.

On the 22nd, Kiyosaki announced via his social networking service (SNS) that he had disposed of about $2.25 million (about 3 billion won) worth of Bitcoin.

He had bought Bitcoin at about $6,000 and sold at about $90,000. He said he plans to use the sale proceeds to acquire two surgical centers and a billboard business, calling it a "long-practiced strategy for becoming wealthy."

This decision somewhat contrasts with his recent statements. As recently as the 15th, he had said he "had no plans to sell" despite the weak Bitcoin price.

He analyzed that "governments will eventually supply more money to cover this debt," and said "this process will lead to the rise in value of real assets and major crypto assets."

He also said, "With sufficient cash flow, there is no reason to sell Bitcoin, gold, silver, or Ethereum," and added, "Bitcoin's supply is limited to 21 million. If you wait until the bear market ends, you'll end up buying at a higher price than now."

He predicted Bitcoin would reach $1 million in the future and also projected it would surpass $200,000 this year.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin recently fell more than 10% to the low $80,000s (about 117.76 million won). As of the 22nd, the price was about $86,065.
