Robert Kiyosaki, author of 'Rich Dad Poor Dad', who sold some of his holdings during the recent Bitcoin (BTC) correction, projected that the price of silver, currently around $50 per ounce, could rise to $200 next year.
On the 23rd (local time), Kiyosaki wrote on his X (formerly Twitter), "Silver is currently around $50 per ounce. I think silver prices will soon reach $70, and could go to $200 in 2026."
He said that the "greatest collapse in history" he warned about in his 2013 book 'Rich Dad's Prophecy' "has already arrived." He added, "This is not just a problem for the United States. Europe and Asia are collapsing too," and said, "AI will eliminate jobs, and when jobs collapse, office and residential real estate will collapse as well."
Kiyosaki emphasized, "Now is the time to buy more gold, silver, Bitcoin, and Ethereum," adding, "Among them, silver is the best and the safest."
Earlier, Kiyosaki said he had sold about $2.25 million (about 3 billion won) worth of Bitcoin the previous day. He bought Bitcoin at about $6,000 and sold at about $90,000.
Kiyosaki has long been optimistic about Bitcoin's long-term investment prospects. As recently as the 15th, despite the weak Bitcoin price, he said, "I have no plans to sell," so his decision to sell Bitcoin has been seen as contradicting his past remarks.
Kiyosaki explained that the Bitcoin sale was not due to doubts about the price outlook but to secure investment funds. He said he plans to use the sale proceeds to acquire two surgery centers and a billboard business, calling it a "wealth-building strategy he has practiced for a long time." He has predicted that Bitcoin's price will reach $1 million in the future.
