President Xi also said, "The two countries should expand the list of cooperation" and "They should jointly safeguard the achievements of the post-World War II international order."
In the call, President Xi said, "Taiwan's return to China is a core element of the international order since World War II." He reportedly added, "We must strive for further progress in bilateral relations and open up new spaces for cooperation."
