U.S. President Donald Trump said on the 24th (local time) that he will visit China in April next year, and that Chinese President Xi Jinping will make a state visit to the United States before the end of next year.

President Trump said on his social media, "I just had a very good phone call with China's Chairman Xi."

President Trump said, "This call is a follow-up to the very successful meeting that took place in Korea three weeks ago," and added, "Since then, both sides (U.S. and China) have made considerable progress in keeping our agreement up to date and accurate."

He continued, "Chairman Xi invited me to visit Beijing in April (next year), and I accepted," adding, "He will be my guest for a state visit to the United States next year (after my April visit to China)."

However, it is not certain whether Chairman Xi has accepted President Trump's invitation to visit the United States.

President Trump said, "Our relationship with China is very strong," and "We agreed that it is important to communicate frequently, and I look forward to doing so."
