On the 25th, virtual asset (cryptocurrency) information platform BitcoinTreasuries.NET reported via X (formerly Twitter) that "MetaPlanet is raising $130 million in financing secured by the Bitcoin it holds to pursue additional BTC purchases."

Previously, MetaPlanet had used funds raised through issuing convertible bonds to purchase Bitcoin.
