Hashed·BDAN discuss 'Bidanjumeoni'-based region-specific blockchain super app
Summary
- Hashed and BDAN announced that they discussed the development of a region-specific blockchain super app based on Bidanjumeoni and directions for digital asset utilization at Busan Blockchain Week.
- They reported that the two companies presented the possibility of integrating blockchain-based services safely and conveniently, such as introducing the concept of digital citizenship and linking KYC to digital wallets.
- They emphasized that they plan to cooperate in creating a region-based digital asset ecosystem by expanding the Bidanjumeoni platform into domestic and international B2G business models in the future.

Global web3 venture capital firm Hashed and Busan Digital Asset Exchange (BDAN) announced on the 22nd at Busan Blockchain Week (BWB) that they shared the possibilities for using region-based digital asset and financial technologies and future development directions.
The two companies shared a direction on how digital assets and financial technologies can be used at the regional level. First, they discussed regional blockchain technology cases centered on 'Bidanjumeoni', a Busan-based web3 digital wallet developed with Hashed and its subsidiary ShardLab participating as technology partners and operated by BDAN. They also discussed how the concept of 'digital citizenship', which would allow residents and visitors within the region to enjoy rights and benefits in the digital environment, could be implemented technically.
Hashed views Bidanjumeoni not merely as a single payment service or a specific technology application case, but as a platform that can test the structure in which digital assets are actually created, distributed, and used within the space of Busan. BDAN also shared opinions on realistic conditions and possibilities for digital assets to operate in the regional financial environment.
They cited 'digital citizenship' as a concrete example. A wallet whose holder's information has been verified through customer identification (KYC) serves as a means of login while simultaneously acting as an account to store and use digital assets. The two companies expected that integrating public and private services based on blockchain wallets could enable the construction of a new 'super app' that is safe and convenient without the risk of information leakage. They also suggested that South Korea, which led the web2 market in the past with e-government infrastructure, should maximize global commercialization opportunities by taking the lead in the new 'web3-based citizenship' market.
Bidanzumkeoni uses the 'programmable' structure, one of the features of blockchain. It is possible to design digital vouchers usable only for specific periods, places, or events, or various experiments such as asset management that automatically executes and terminates according to conditions. This structure shows the possibility of designing memberships, loyalty, and incentives in digital asset form at the regional level.
Until now, benefits or voucher operations within regions have often been carried out centered on individual businesses, and cases where administrative environment, financial technology, and digital asset structures were discussed together at the city level have been limited. Hashed and BDAN pointed out these limitations and continued discussions on how a region-based digital asset ecosystem could be implemented in a real environment in the form of 'digital citizenship'.
Kim Seojun, CEO of Hashed, said, "Bidanjumeoni is more a platform to experiment with how blockchain security technologies and digital assets can be used within a region than a project premised on a specific asset or technology," and added, "It is meaningful that we discussed the possibilities for utilizing digital assets and finance in the space of Busan together with BDAN."
Kim Sang-min, CEO of BDAN, said, "We are pleased that BDAN is taking the first step for the Busan blockchain special zone together with a leader called Hashed," and stated, "We will not only popularize Bidanjumeoni as a civic platform but also expand it into a super app for various domestic and foreign tourists." He added, "We will also attempt to expand the business model into a B2G platform business through exports to various overseas cities."
Hashed and BDAN said that through this BWB presentation, they shared the possibility that the combination of traditional finance and web3 technologies could expand into a region-based digital asset ecosystem and plan to continue related discussions in the future.
