The world's largest asset manager BlackRock has selected its Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) IBIT as one of this year's top investment themes.
On the 22nd (local time), according to crypto asset (cryptocurrency) specialist media CoinDesk, BlackRock named the Bitcoin ETF IBIT as one of three key investment themes for 2025.
BlackRock explained that IBIT plays an important role for institutional investors and in asset allocation portfolios. It said demand is expanding to strategically use Bitcoin within traditional financial asset classes.
IBIT has seen net inflows of more than $25 billion so far this year. That is the sixth-largest amount of new money among ETFs launched this year.
The market interprets BlackRock's assessment as a sign that institutional investors' approach to Bitcoin is moving beyond short-term investment to medium- and long-term asset allocation.
