LD Capital's crypto investment arm Trend Research has purchased about 46,000 Ethereum.
According to Cointelegraph on the 24th (local time), Trend Research bought 46,379 Ethereum that day. With this purchase, Trend Research's Ethereum holdings increased to about 580,000.
Cointelegraph reported, "Among publicly listed companies, only two — Bitmain and Sharplink Gaming — hold more Ethereum than Trend Research," adding, "Trend Research is not a public company and is therefore not included in most statistics of Ethereum-accumulating companies."
Trend Research is expected to make additional Ethereum purchases soon. Jack Yi (Jack Yi), founder of LD Capital, said on X that "Trend Research is preparing additional funds of $1 billion," and "based on this, it will continue purchasing Ethereum and steadily increase its holdings." Cointelegraph said, "Jack Yi is the figure behind Trend Research's large-scale Ethereum purchases that began last October."
Meanwhile, Bitmain, the world's largest Ethereum holder, is also accelerating Ethereum purchases. Bitmain announced that as of the previous day (23rd) its Ethereum holdings were about 4,066,000. Bitmain's average purchase price for Ethereum is about $2,991.
Meanwhile, as of 10:14 p.m. that day, Ethereum was trading on CoinMarketCap at $2,929.07, down 0.99% from the previous day. It is up 0.01% compared to a week earlier.
