On the 4th (local time), Musk said via X (formerly Twitter), "I support the people of Venezuela."
Prior to this, Musk had posted messages supporting the Trump administration's operation to capture President Maduro. Immediately after news broke that the capture operation had taken place, he even changed his X profile picture to the U.S. flag.
When President Trump released a photo of the captured President Maduro, Musk wrote on X, "I congratulate President Trump," saying it "sends a clear message to all vicious dictators."
Maduro, who was transported to New York, was taken to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) New York field office and is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York.
