On X on the 7th (local time), Musk wrote about Nvidia’s autonomous-driving platform “AlphaMayo,” saying, “It takes years from the point when self-driving starts working to reach a level far safer than humans.” He added, “Legacy automakers won’t be able to design AI computers into vehicles at scale (like Tesla), even after several years,” and “Competitive pressure on Tesla won’t come until 5–6 years from now.”
