- Golem Network said it is partnering with Salad.com to conduct a proof of concept for migrating Web2 cloud workloads to Web3 infrastructure.
- The two companies said they plan to mirror actual computing demand from Salad.com’s commercial cloud onto Golem Network’s permissionless execution layer to verify DePIN’s commercial processing viability.
- They said they will integrate Golem’s decentralized execution layer with a digital-asset (cryptocurrency)-based payment and settlement structure to raise platform efficiency and transparency, and expand cooperation centered on high-performance computing workloads.

Decentralized computing protocol Golem Network said on the 16th that it is partnering with decentralized GPU cloud platform Salad.com to conduct a proof of concept for migrating traditional Web2 cloud workloads to Web3 infrastructure.
At the center of the collaboration is a “mirroring” test that replicates a portion of real computing demand generated by Salad’s commercial cloud service onto Golem Network’s permissionless execution layer. The plan is to verify whether DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks) can reliably process workloads even in commercial environments.
Salad.com is a GPU cloud platform that connects distributed computing providers and customers worldwide, but operational complexity and cost burdens stemming from a centralized infrastructure architecture have been cited as challenges. The two companies plan to test whether integrating Golem’s decentralized execution layer with a digital-asset (cryptocurrency)-based payment and settlement structure can improve both platform efficiency and transparency.
Bob Miles, CEO of Salad.com, described the partnership as “a process to test a structure in which real commercial workloads can circulate within the DePIN ecosystem by combining distributed infrastructure with a decentralized computing layer.”
Golem Network also views the collaboration as a testbed for assessing DePIN’s commercial viability. Paweł Burgchardt, CPO of Golem Network, said it is “an important opportunity to validate how the Golem protocol integrates with external computing marketplaces,” adding that the company will strengthen developer tools and partnership support based on the results.
Salad has been reviewing various DePIN protocols since the third quarter of last year and is said to have selected Golem Network as its final partner after considering Web3 technology maturity and fit with its existing platform. Kyle Dodson, CTO of Salad.com, said, “Golem’s structure aligns with Salad’s operating model in that it connects computing demand and supply in a decentralized manner.”
The two companies plan to expand the collaboration around high-performance computing workloads such as new-drug development simulations, AI inference, and 3D rendering. The case is expected to serve as a test example showing the potential for traditional Web2 companies and Web3 infrastructure to be combined in real commercial settings.
