Summary

  • Mind Network said it has announced the launch of the x402z testnet, a payments layer that supports payments between autonomous AI agents.
  • x402z is based on fully homomorphic encryption (FHE), enabling on-chain verification while keeping transactions private, and is built on the ERC-7984 token standard.
  • On the testnet, users can convert standard test tokens into ERC-7984-based tokens to test AI-service payment scenarios, which the company said will be an important component of future AI systems.

Mind Network, a fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) infrastructure protocol, has launched the 'x402z' payments-layer testnet that supports payments between autonomous artificial intelligence (AI) agents.

On the 20th (local time), Mind Network announced the launch of the x402z testnet via its official X (formerly Twitter), saying the solution supports on-chain payments between AI agents.

Built on fully homomorphic encryption technology, x402z is designed to enable verification on the blockchain without disclosing transaction details to external parties. The payments layer is based on the ERC-7984 token standard co-developed by Mind Network’s FHE verification network and Zama, an open-source cryptography technology developer.

Testnet participants can access the service after connecting a wallet on Mind Network’s official website. Users can convert standard test tokens into ERC-7984-based tokens, then receive separate encrypted tokens to test payment scenarios that arise when using AI services.

Mind Network said, "Infrastructure that enables AI agents to carry out autonomous payments while keeping business secrets confidential will become an important component in future AI systems."
