According to CoinMarketCap on the 22nd, as of 12:09 a.m. that day, Bitcoin was trading at $90,082.2, up 0.27% from the previous day. Compared with a week earlier, it is down 6.72%.
Bitcoin extended gains on the day despite a series of comments by President Trump regarding Greenland. Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Trump said, “Greenland is effectively part of North America,” adding, “What we (the United States) are asking for is to secure Greenland, including ownership and rights.”
