CertiK CEO: "Pursuing an IPO"…Valuation nears $2 billion

CertiK, a blockchain security firm, said it is advancing its business with a future initial public offering (IPO) in mind. The company is currently valued at about $2 billion.

According to Cointelegraph on the 23rd (local time), CertiK co-founder and CEO Ronghui Gu said in an interview on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, that an IPO is a possibility. "We don’t have a concrete plan yet, but an IPO is clearly a goal we are pursuing," he said.

Gu explained that CertiK’s current valuation is nearing $2 billion, adding that going public could be a natural step in the company’s growth trajectory. He noted, however, that this would require additional fundraising and strategic partnerships. "To do an IPO, we need a lot of strategic cooperation along with investment," he said.

He also said CertiK’s listing could be an important milestone for the broader web3 infrastructure sector. "A lot of people want to see CertiK succeed and go public," Gu said, adding that "it would be a meaningful event not only for CertiK but for the entire web3 industry."

CertiK is a blockchain security company that provides smart contract audits as well as security assessments and risk-monitoring tools for digital-asset projects. It has served as infrastructure across the web3 ecosystem and has collaborated with a number of global projects.

The digital-asset industry has also seen ongoing discussions around other companies going public. Hardware wallet maker Ledger is said to be reviewing an IPO, while digital-asset custodian BitGo recently listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). US-based crypto exchange Coinbase went public in 2021, and stablecoin issuer Circle made its market debut in June 2025.
