Decentralized finance project Katana held a Korea community meetup in Seoul and shared its forward roadmap and market expansion strategy.
On the 30th, Katana said via its official X account that “the ‘Katana Korea Community Meetup’ held in Seoul drew 250 pre-registrations and more than 140 on-site check-ins,” adding that “it was a meaningful opportunity to share insights directly with the Korean community.”
At the meetup, Matthew Fisher, Katana’s Head of Growth, took the stage to introduce Katana’s upcoming roadmap. Explaining the project’s technical development direction along with its global expansion strategy, Fisher said, “We view the Korean market as one of our core community hubs.”
Following Fisher’s presentation, a panel discussion was held featuring local influencers in the virtual asset space. The panelists pointed to the Korean virtual asset market’s high share of retail participation and its community-driven diffusion dynamics, underscoring the importance of direct communication between projects and users.
Fisher said, “I was genuinely impressed by the level of retail participation in Korea,” adding, “You could feel that energy in the room, and I’m looking forward to building together with the Korean community throughout this year.”
The Katana team, including Fisher, will remain in Korea this week to continue meetings with partners and builders. The plan is to expand local collaboration and accelerate community-led ecosystem growth.
