Dave Portnoy, founder of online sports betting platform Barstool Sports, bought an additional roughly $1 million worth of XRP.

According to U.Today, a cryptocurrency-focused media outlet, on the 30th (local time) Portnoy disclosed the XRP purchase himself in a recently released video. He also said he bought an additional roughly $500,000 worth of Bitcoin (BTC).

Explaining the rationale for the investment, Portnoy referred to the recent market pullback, saying, "Warren Buffett once said you should buy when there's blood in the streets." He added that he decided to add to his position as volatility in the crypto market has increased.

The purchase has once again drawn attention to Portnoy’s moves in cryptocurrency investing.
