Global cryptocurrency exchange Binance has purchased additional Bitcoin (BTC) worth $100 million (about 150 billion won) through 'SAFU,' a user protection fund it recently set up.

Through its official X account, Binance said on the 4th (local time), "We have completed the second Bitcoin conversion for the SAFU fund," adding that "this conversion involved $100 million worth of stablecoins." Binance said it is "continuing to buy Bitcoin for the SAFU fund" and that it "plans to share further updates with the community."

Previously, on the 2nd, Binance bought $100 million worth of Bitcoin through the SAFU fund. Cointelegraph reported that "the Bitcoin (Binance) purchased over the past two days totals 2,630," and that "at current prices it amounts to $211 million."
