World Liberty Financial (WLFI) sold off $5 million worth of Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC).

According to Lookonchain on the 5th (local time), World Liberty Financial sold 73 WBTC on the day. The total proceeds came to $5.04 million, implying an average selling price of about $69,000 per token.

The move is seen as reflecting the recent downturn in the crypto market. Bitcoin at one point fell more than 8% from the previous day, dipping below $70,000. It was the first time since November 2024 that Bitcoin traded under $70,000.

World Liberty Financial is a crypto project backed by the family of U.S. President Donald Trump.
