UK asset manager Aviva Investors has entered into a partnership with Ripple, the issuer of XRP.
Aviva Investors said on the 11th (local time) that it has partnered with Ripple to pursue fund tokenization. Aviva Investors said, “This is Ripple’s first partnership with a Europe-based investment firm,” adding, “We will work closely with Ripple to tokenize traditional funds on the XRP Ledger (XRPL).”
Nigel Khakoo, Ripple’s vice president for exchanges and markets, stressed that “tokenization has now moved beyond the experimental phase and is entering large-scale production.” He added that “developing tokenized fund structures will deliver significant technological efficiencies in the investment sector,” and said the impact “will be maximized over the next 10 years.”
