Coinone holds 'Lunar New Year gift money event' for new customers

Coinone, a South Korean virtual asset exchange, said on the 13th that it will run a "Lunar New Year gift money event" for new customers during the Seollal holiday period.

The event runs through the 18th of this month and is open to customers signing up for Coinone for the first time. Participants who complete three missions will receive benefits worth a total of 100,000 won.

The first mission is a "quiz." If users answer the quiz correctly using the hints provided with the multiple-choice options, they will receive benefits worth 40,000 won. Rewards for completing the mission are scheduled to be paid in USD Coin (USDC) on the 23rd of this month.

The second mission is "HouseParty Protocol (HPP) trade verification." Participation is completed by trading at least 30,000 won worth of HPP, excluding fees, and then posting proof of the trade on the Coinone community. Participants will receive HPP worth 30,000 won as a reward on the 27th of this month.

The final mission is participation in the "Coin Accumulation" service, which runs through the 28th of this month. Participation is completed by entering the event code during the period and successfully completing Coin Accumulation at least once. Depending on the number of successful Coin Accumulation attempts, Coinone points worth 30,000 won will be awarded. Specifically, users can receive 5,000 points for one success, 10,000 points for three successes, and 15,000 points for seven successes. Rewards will be distributed in a lump sum on the 6th of next month.

A Coinone official said, "We planned this event package for Seollal, Korea’s biggest holiday," adding, "We hope users will experience various Coinone services by taking part in the missions and also enjoy the rewards."
