StarkWare said it will integrate 'Nightfall,' a zero-knowledge proof-based data privacy system co-developed by Ernst & Young (EY) and the Polygon team, into StarkNet.
According to crypto-focused media outlet The Block on the 17th (local time), the integration will allow institutions to use public blockchain infrastructure without disclosing sensitive transaction information.
This will enable private B2B payments, treasury management, and decentralized finance (DeFi) transactions, it said.
Nightfall is designed to protect information such as transaction counterparties and amounts using zero-knowledge proof technology, while still allowing verification on the blockchain. It has previously operated on the Polygon network.
StarkWare said the move will expand StarkNet into infrastructure capable of meeting institutional demand for privacy.
