Online trading platform eToro saw its shares surge after posting an increase in fourth-quarter net profit.

According to investment-focused outlet Catena on the 23rd, eToro shares rose 19% following the release of its Q4 results. eToro reported Q4 net profit of $69 million, up 6% year on year.

Crypto-asset (cryptocurrency)-related revenue, however, declined. Q4 crypto-asset revenue came in at $3.6 billion, down from $5.8 billion a year earlier. The decline was said to reflect market conditions in which prices of major crypto assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum fell in November 2025.

On a full-year basis, crypto-asset-related revenue totaled about $13.0 billion. Costs were $12.9 billion, broadly in line with revenue.

Derivatives, by contrast, improved. Q4 net trading income was $74 million, swinging to profit from a $130 million loss a year earlier.

eToro said, “Growth in derivatives trading and progress related to artificial intelligence (AI) and on-chain market infrastructure contributed to the improved performance,” adding, “This quarter, we introduced 24-hour trading for some popular assets and plan to expand it to a wider range of asset classes going forward.”
