According to on-chain analytics platform Lookonchain on the 25th, Vitalik sold 675.88 ETH, worth about $1.25 million. This brings total sales over the past month to 11,422 ETH, estimated at about $23.33 million.
Previously, Vitalik was reported to have laid out plans to sell a total of 16,384 ETH. About 70% has been disposed of so far. The remaining planned amount is 4,962 ETH, valued at about $9.5 million.
In the past, Vitalik has used proceeds from selling his personal Ethereum holdings for areas tied to core values of the Ethereum ecosystem, such as open-source technology and privacy-enhancing projects. This sale is also interpreted as part of that plan.
