Wemade unveils 'Stablenet Wallet,' a test wallet for its KRW stablecoin mainnet

Wemade has unveiled 'Stablenet Wallet,' a test wallet for 'Stablenet,' its dedicated mainnet for a Korean won (KRW) stablecoin.

Wemade said on the 26th that it introduced a test wallet that allows users to experience the KRW-based stablecoin ecosystem in advance. Stablenet Wallet focuses on implementing real-world KRW value and everyday financial conditions on blockchain.

Stablenet Wallet is designed to address the poor usability of existing blockchain wallets and deliver an intuitive user experience comparable to traditional finance apps. It aims to minimize complex address inputs and procedures while recreating an environment familiar to users of everyday financial services.

The wallet includes an automatic transfer feature. For regular remittances, users can transfer assets each month according to a schedule they set. It also allows users to create and manage an address book based on recent transaction history and saved names, enabling stablecoin transfers without complicated steps. It also supports sharing and saving addresses via QR code scans.

It also includes real-time notifications. The wallet is designed so users can immediately check changes in their assets through push notifications when key transactions—such as transfers and deposits—occur.

A Wemade official said, "The release of Stablenet Wallet is part of the process of verifying how safely and conveniently a KRW-based stablecoin can be used in real financial life," adding, "After conducting proof-of-concept tests in a limited environment, we will provide a highly polished blockchain finance experience that the public can easily access when the mainnet is officially launched."
