Forecast Trend Report by Period

A US court has ordered the government to file an official response within two weeks regarding FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF)’s request for a retrial.
According to crypto-focused outlet Cointelegraph on the 26th (local time), the US District Court for the Southern District of New York directed prosecutors to submit their position on the retrial motion by March 11 (local time).
SBF filed the motion earlier this month, arguing that newly obtained testimony could have a material impact on the case’s outcome. He contends that there is evidence that was not sufficiently considered during the original proceedings.
Previously, in the first trial, SBF was sentenced to 25 years in prison and ordered to forfeit $11.02 billion, but that ruling has since been vacated on appeal. The government’s response to the retrial request is expected to be a key variable in the next phase of the legal process.
