The Smarter Web Company, a UK-listed firm, said it has made an additional purchase of bitcoin (BTC).

According to a company filing on the 2nd, The Smarter Web Company bought three bitcoins at an average purchase price of £47,871 ($64,550). The total purchase amount was £143,614.

With this purchase, the company’s total bitcoin holdings increased to 2,692. The cumulative average purchase price is £82,591 ($111,366), and total investment stands at £222,335,253.

The company said its quarter-to-date bitcoin return was -1.00%.

The Smarter Web Company has been implementing a financial policy of continuously purchasing bitcoin under “The 10 Year Plan” announced in April last year. The company has accepted bitcoin payments since 2022 and, on the view that bitcoin will become a core asset in the global financial system, adopted a “Bitcoin Treasury Policy.”

Meanwhile, The Smarter Web Company provides web design, web development and online marketing services, and is also pursuing a strategy to expand its customer base and recurring revenue through mergers and acquisitions (M&A) alongside organic growth of its existing services.
