JPMorgan advised investors not to sell stocks on the back of escalating tensions involving Iran, but to use any short-term pullback as a buying opportunity.

According to Walter Bloomberg, an overseas economy breaking-news channel, on the 2nd, JPMorgan said that “rising Iran-related tensions are not a signal to exit equity markets, but a buying opportunity.”

Mislav Matejka, an analyst at JPMorgan, recommended increasing positions by taking advantage of a short-term weak patch. He explained that “this conflict is likely to be temporary, and even if oil prices surge, the impact will be limited.”

JPMorgan also forecast that macro fundamentals remain solid and inflation will stay at manageable levels. It added that the repricing of tech stocks and artificial intelligence (AI)-related assets has already progressed to a large extent, leaving limited room for further declines.

JPMorgan added that it is maintaining its preferred regions for investment as international equities, emerging markets, and eurozone equities.
