DeFi-focused blockchain Katana has rolled out a service integrated with Binance Wallet and OKX Earn.
Katana said on the 5th that it is connecting Binance Wallet and OKX’s onchain yield products with its own DeFi yield infrastructure. The integration allows users to earn DeFi returns simply by depositing stablecoins.
According to onchain data, Katana’s total value locked (TVL) jumped by more than $250 million within 24 hours of the integration. The funds flowed in via routes such as Morpho-based stablecoin vaults managed by SteakhouseFi and Gauntlet.
Users can deposit USDC or USDT through the Binance Wallet and OKX interfaces to access Katana vaults built on Morpho. In addition to interest based on lending yield, deposited assets can earn additional rewards including MORPHO tokens, KAT tokens, and USDC/USDT incentives.
Katana described the structure as “a new model that combines the user experience of centralized exchanges with DeFi infrastructure.” Traditional DeFi has faced limited accessibility for mainstream users due to high barriers to entry such as gas fees, wallet management, and the complexity of using protocols.
Katana said its goal is “to bring more users into onchain finance by combining the user experience of centralized platforms with DeFi yield structures,” adding that it will “build a sustainable DeFi ecosystem based on liquidity and real network fees.”
