Integrated payments company Danal will launch a crypto payment service for foreign visitors to Korea in collaboration with Binance Pay and Circle.

On the 5th, Danal said it will officially roll out an integrated, foreigner-only payment and settlement service in April in partnership with the global digital-asset payment platform Binance Pay and stablecoin issuer Circle.

The service is designed to allow overseas Binance users to pay at participating merchants in Korea with their digital assets without going through a separate currency-exchange process. Circle’s U.S. dollar stablecoin, USDC, will be used as the settlement currency.

Danal explained that “this structure can reduce the risk of digital-asset price fluctuations that may arise during the payment process while simultaneously ensuring faster settlement and asset transparency.”

The service will first be applied to the foreigner prepaid card “K.ONDA (Conda).” Conda operates by enabling foreign tourists to receive a physical card immediately after arrival via kiosks installed at major international airports such as Incheon International Airport and Gimpo International Airport, as well as at convenience stores and medical concierge centers.

It also supports online payments by linking with the BC Card payment network. As a result, short-term visitors can use a range of domestic payment services, including delivery apps, online shopping and public transportation.

Danal plans to expand the payment and settlement system beyond tourism services to a wider range of industries. The company said that “as this is the first domestic linkage case with Binance Pay, many companies are showing interest in collaboration.”

A Danal official said, “This is a model that combines Danal’s payment infrastructure with the global digital-asset ecosystems of Binance and Circle,” adding, “We will provide a payment method that foreign visitors to Korea can use in practice and continue to strengthen our competitiveness in Korea’s digital payments market.”
