The Korea Exchange said in a filing that a buy-sidecar was triggered in the KOSDAQ market at 9:11 a.m. At the time of activation, KOSDAQ 150 futures were up 6.36% and the KOSDAQ 150 index had risen 3.47%.
A KOSDAQ sidecar is triggered when KOSDAQ 150 futures rise 6% or more from the reference price and the KOSDAQ 150 index rises 3% or more from the previous trading day’s close, with both conditions sustained for one minute simultaneously.
A buy-sidecar was also triggered in the KOSDAQ market on the 5th, the previous day.
