U.S. President Donald Trump said of the war against Iran that he believes it is “in its final phase.”

In a phone interview with CBS News on the 9th (local time), Trump said, “They (Iran’s military) have no navy, no communications, and no air force,” in explaining his view.

The White House had previously said it expected the war with Iran to last about four to five weeks, but Trump also stressed that it is “well ahead” of that timeline.

He also addressed the Strait of Hormuz, an international crude oil shipping route, saying ships are currently passing through and that he is “considering taking it over.”

He went on to warn, “They’ve fired everything they can,” adding, “They’d better not try any clever moves. Otherwise, that country will be finished.”
