Anchorage Digital, a U.S. crypto financial services firm, is investing in cybersecurity company Immunefi.
According to The Block on the 11th (local time), Anchorage Digital said it would make a strategic investment in Immunefi. Anchorage Digital also plans to purchase IMU, Immunefi’s native token. The size of the investment and the scale of the token purchase were not disclosed.
Following the investment, Immunefi will provide security services for Anchorage Digital’s proprietary wallet, Porto. The Block reported that “the Porto wallet, designed for institutional investors, enables companies to participate in DeFi protocols and execute on-chain investment strategies.”
Immunefi is also known to provide security services for $180 billion in assets. Anchorage Digital said that “as institutions increasingly participate in DeFi, the need for robust security infrastructure is growing,” adding that “Immunefi is an ideal partner to protect clients’ on-chain activity.”
