A federal court in Alabama has dismissed a lawsuit filed against global cryptocurrency exchange Binance under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA).

Eleanor Hughes, legal counsel at Binance, said on X that "following the Southern District of New York, we have secured a second defense win in a US federal court in Alabama," on the 12th (local time). The Alabama court dismissed the case alleging failures in regulatory compliance and terrorist financing against Binance. BeInCrypto reported that "the Alabama court dismissed the claims after finding the lawsuit legally and factually defective."

Binance emphasized that "this ruling is an important legal milestone for Binance." Hughes said, "Allegations related to regulatory compliance or terrorist financing are extremely serious matters, but it made clear they must be proven with credible evidence—not merely investigations or speculation," adding, "We will never tolerate attempts to exploit the legal system to attack our industry."

Meanwhile, the Southern District of New York recently dismissed an ATA-related lawsuit filed against Binance. The lawsuit was brought against Binance and its founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ). Binance said it "will continue to do its utmost, without wavering, to operate with security, transparency and compliance with the law."
