Tron (TRX) has officially joined Mastercard’s ‘Crypto Partner Program.’

On the 13th (local time), Tron announced the news via its official X account. The partnership was reportedly signed based on a shared vision that ‘the next stage of on-chain payments is built through collaboration.’

Mastercard’s Crypto Partner Program, launched on the 11th, is a global initiative aimed at connecting digital assets with the real-world payments ecosystem. More than 85 digital-asset-related companies, along with payment service providers and major financial institutions, are currently participating.

Companies that join the program will work with Mastercard going forward to jointly explore the design and development direction of future payment products and services. In particular, they plan to focus on developing innovative solutions that seamlessly integrate digital assets’ fast transfer speeds and programmability (such as smart contract functionality) with existing card payment systems and global commerce flows.
