Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) has expanded its bitcoin (BTC) holdings with an additional purchase.
On the 16th, Michael Saylor, chairman of Strategy, said on X (formerly Twitter) that “Strategy bought an additional 22,337 BTC (last week) for about $1.57 billion.” Saylor added that “the average purchase price for this acquisition was about $70,194.”
Following the purchase, Strategy’s total bitcoin holdings rose sharply. Saylor said, “As of the 15th, Strategy holds a total of 761,068 BTC.”
He added, “The bitcoin was acquired for a total of about $57.61 billion, with an overall average purchase price of around $75,696.”
