The Korea Buidl Week Alliance (KBWA) said on the 17th that the blockchain and digital-asset event “Korea Buidl Week 2026” will be held across Seoul from April 13 to 19.

Launched in 2018, Korea Buidl Week is the country’s longest-running developer-centric blockchain event. This year, it plans to scale up into a global event bringing together developers, investors and startups from across Asia.

The event was jointly planned by 10 major blockchain and digital-asset-related organizations affiliated with KBWA. Over the event period, five main programs—including conferences, a hackathon, an investment summit and networking events—will be held sequentially in Seoul’s Gangnam, Jamsil and Seongsu areas.

The detailed schedule begins with the hackathon “BuidlHack 2026 Builder Day” on April 14, followed by an AI and infrastructure conference and a finance-related summit on the 15th. The main conference, “Buidl Asia 2026,” will run on April 16–17, and CIS 2026 and various side events will continue from the 17th through the 19th.

In particular, the hackathon is a global program offering total prize money of $26,000, with major projects such as BNB Chain and Near AI participating as sponsors. Participants will showcase the projects they develop during the event through final presentations. The hackathon final presentations are scheduled for the 18th.

KBWA, which hosts the event, includes major Korean blockchain companies and community leaders such as Formula Labs and CryptoPlanet. The industry expects the event to serve as an opportunity to demonstrate the standing of Korea’s blockchain sector not only within the domestic ecosystem but also in the global market.
