Korbit expands crypto donations with Save the Children…moves to support families in crisis

Korbit is expanding its crypto donation campaign.

Korbit said on the 18th that it will run a “2nd Crypto Donation Campaign” together with Save the Children, an international children’s rights NGO.

The campaign is a follow-up project based on an MOU signed by the two organizations. While the first campaign focused on meal support for children at risk of going hungry, this time it is centered on helping families with children facing livelihood difficulties due to sudden crises.

This program prepared by Korbit will be operated in the form of a “Support Program for Families in Crisis,” with the scope of assistance expanded to include living expenses, housing costs and medical bills.

The campaign will run for about three months, from March 18 to June 30. Korbit members can donate major cryptoassets via a crypto wallet address designated by Save the Children, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP, Tether (USDT) and Circle’s U.S. dollar stablecoin USDC.

All funds raised will be used to help stabilize the lives of families in crisis and to protect children.

A Korbit official said, “Through the first campaign, we confirmed the effectiveness of crypto-based giving and the potential for participation,” adding, “In this campaign, we hope blockchain transparency will help ensure donations are delivered effectively to where they are needed.”

Save the Children also plans to use the donations to expand support for families facing economic hardship and to help children grow up in a stable environment.

Korbit has continued a range of social contribution activities to promote a culture of giving using cryptoassets, and plans to keep pursuing ESG initiatives that combine IT technology with the creation of social value.
