Amundi, Europe’s largest asset manager, has launched a blockchain-based tokenised fund.

According to industry sources on the 19th, Amundi launched the $100 million “Spiko Amundi Overnight Swap Fund” on Ethereum (ETH) and Stellar (XLM).

The product is structured as a sub-fund of an investment vehicle under France’s regulatory framework, and is designed to target corporate cash management and institutional liquidity-management needs.

The fund allows investors to view real-time asset positions via blockchain-based records, and trade settlement is carried out almost instantly. Investors can subscribe and redeem the fund in various currencies, including the euro, US dollar, pound sterling and Swiss franc.

Amundi participates as the delegated manager, overseeing asset allocation and liquidity management based on fully collateralised swap agreements with major financial institutions. This enables the fund to maintain short-term liquidity while also allowing blockchain-based settlement.

The launch marks Amundi’s second blockchain project in recent months. It has also introduced an Ethereum-based tokenised equity class, slated for the end of 2025.
