"Focus on whether Bitcoin can break above $75,000…a turning point for a trend reversal"

As Bitcoin (BTC) extends its upward momentum despite geopolitical uncertainties, whether it can break above $75,000 has been singled out as the key variable for a trend reversal.

According to cryptocurrency-focused media outlet CoinDesk on the 24th, Bitcoin is maintaining a solid footing above the $71,000 level even amid a geopolitical shock in the Middle East. The recent rebound is seen as stemming from a recovery in risk appetite after President Trump’s remarks about delaying an attack on Iran.

Still, analysts say further confirmation is needed to mark a shift into an uptrend. The outlet said, "Bitcoin needs to clearly move above $75,000 to confirm a transition into a bull market," it said.

That price zone has repeatedly served as resistance in the past. It is seen as a major inflection point, as both the downtrend in March–April 2025 and the rally earlier in 2024 diverged around this level.

Alex Kuptsikevich, chief market analyst at FxPro, said, "The fact that prices are holding near the highs shows investor confidence," but added, "It is too early to conclude the downtrend has ended until it establishes itself above $75,000."

Meanwhile, with volatility likely to persist in the near term, the market expects that whether a key resistance level is breached will be a decisive variable shaping the next move.
