Hana Financial Group has officially denied reports that it signed an MOU with ITCEN Global for stablecoin cooperation.
On the 25th, Hana Financial said the report claiming it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with ITCEN Global to cooperate on the distribution of a won-denominated stablecoin was not true.
A Hana Financial official told Bloomingbit, "It is true that we are holding various discussions related to a stablecoin consortium, but it is not true that we signed an MOU with ITCEN Global."
Hana Financial is currently pursuing stablecoin-related businesses and is reviewing ways to build an overall ecosystem covering issuance and distribution, including establishing a dedicated organization.
