On the 25th (local time), the Iranian government said it "will not tolerate US President Donald Trump deciding the timing of a ceasefire." It also presented five conditions for a ceasefire.

Iran’s state broadcaster Press TV reported this, citing a senior Iranian government official. The official said, "Iran will end the war at a time of its own choosing, and when its conditions have been met," adding, "We will continue to defend ourselves until our demands are accepted and will deliver powerful blows to the enemy."

The Iranian government also announced conditions for a ceasefire on the day. Specifically, the five conditions Iran set out were: ▲a complete halt to the enemy’s attacks and assassinations ▲establishment of concrete mechanisms to ensure that war is not imposed ▲guarantees for war damage and compensation, with payment methods clearly stipulated ▲a complete end to the war, including all fronts and resistance forces in the region ▲international recognition of Iran’s right to exercise sovereign authority over the Strait of Hormuz, along with guarantees to that effect.

Iran is said to have shared these conditions with the mediating countries that proposed ceasefire mediation. Press TV reported, "Iran conveyed its position that a ceasefire is possible only if all the conditions it presented are accepted." The senior official said, "There will be no negotiations before (the conditions are accepted)," adding, "An end to the war will occur not at the time President Trump imagines, but at the time Iran deems it must be concluded."

Meanwhile, the United States is reported to have recently delivered a 15-item list of demands to Iran along with a proposal for a "one-month ceasefire." According to The New York Times (NYT) and others, Pakistan—which borders Iran—served as the conduit for the proposal. The demands reportedly included immediately shipping Iran’s uranium stockpiles abroad and halting operations at all enrichment facilities within a month.
