U.S. President Donald Trump said on the 26th (local time) that “the Iranian negotiating team is very different and strange.”

Trump made the remarks in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, that day. He said, “They (the Iranian negotiating team) are begging us to make a deal,” adding, “(Iran) is supposed to be doing that because it has been completely militarily devastated and has absolutely no chance of retaliating.”

Trump also criticized them for “publicly, in the short term, saying only, ‘We (the U.S.) are reviewing the proposal.’” He added, “They need to get serious (about negotiations) quickly before it’s too late,” warning, “Once that point passes, there is absolutely no way to reverse it, and it will never end well.”

Trump also took aim at the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). “NATO member states have done nothing to help us (the United States) regarding Iran, a fanatical country that has now been militarily devastated,” he said, adding, “The United States needs absolutely nothing from NATO.”
