Iran is expected to deliver its response to a US peace proposal on Friday.

According to Walter Bloomberg on the 27th (local time), Iran is reviewing a 15-point peace framework delivered via a mediation channel through Pakistan and is set to convey its official position on Friday.

The proposal aims to de-escalate military tensions and restart negotiations, with Steve Witkoff, Marco Rubio, JD Vance and Jared Kushner reportedly leading discussions on the US side.

US officials assessed that some signs of progress have emerged recently, including an increase in energy flows through the Strait of Hormuz.

However, with no formal diplomatic relations between the two countries, the talks are still being conducted via indirect channels, and regional countries such as Türkiye as well as the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) are also said to be involved in related discussions.

The White House stressed that diplomatic efforts are proceeding in parallel even as military operations continue.
