Ripple has added digital asset features to its institutional treasury management platform.
According to Cointelegraph on the 1st (local time), Ripple said it added a “digital asset account” and an integrated dashboard to its institutional treasury management platform, “Ripple Treasury,” that day. Cointelegraph reported, “(With this update) corporate treasury teams can now view and manage assets scattered across bank accounts, custodians, and on-chain wallets on a single screen.”
With this update, Ripple Treasury also supports digital asset management functions for XRP and Ripple USD (RLUSD), among others. Balances for each digital asset are provided alongside fiat-currency transaction histories, reflecting prices in real time. Ripple explained, “The key to this update is enabling users to handle digital assets directly within their existing cash management systems without using a separate crypto platform.”
Ripple rolled out the update on the view that digital assets are being incorporated into corporate treasury at an accelerating pace. According to a survey Ripple released in March last year, 72% of about 1,000 financial leaders worldwide said that “companies need to offer digital asset solutions to remain competitive.”
