Trump: ‘We will send Iran back to the Stone Age’… signals a major offensive over the next 2–3 weeks

US President Donald Trump issued a string of hardline remarks, signaling additional military action against Iran.

In a White House address to the nation on the 1st (local time), Trump said, “Over the next 2–3 weeks, we will strike Iran very hard,” adding, “We will send them back to the Stone Age.”

He said, “Through Operation Epic Fury, we achieved a swift and overwhelming victory over Iran,” adding, “The navy has effectively disappeared and the air force no longer exists. Most of Iran’s leadership has been eliminated, and its missile and drone capabilities have been curtailed.”

On strikes on nuclear facilities, he said, “Through Operation Midnight Hammer, we eliminated nuclear weapons production facilities with B-2 bombers,” adding, “Without that operation, nuclear development would have been completed quickly.”

He went on to stress that “Iran’s possession of nuclear weapons can never be tolerated.”
